Our desire is to provide an atmosphere for growth and ministry so that you and your family can build a strong foundation. We're here to bless you, serve you and empower you in the ways of God. Our hope is that you will be changed by God's Word, encouraged by His people and touched by His presence. As a church, we strive to cross all barriers regardless of race, age, social status or any other social or spiritual boundaries.

Daystar Family Church is a group of people from all walks of life who are being transformed by Jesus Christ. Every week we join together to worship God and to experience a relevant and powerful message which teaches truths from the Bible. We are passionate about building the church and serving our communities.
What are the services like?
All services here at Daystar are comprised of two primary elements: powerful worship and a life-changing message. Worship at Daystar is led by a praise team along with a talented live band whose style is consistent with today's culture. Each week the messages are delivered by Pastor Scott Schatzline or by one of the key leaders here at Daystar. From time to time we will also host dynamic guest speakers from around the world. In addition, our Guest Services Team will spend time engaging, connecting and answering any questions that you may have.
What do I wear?
Your "Sunday Best" doesn't have to be a suit and tie or dress! Jeans, sneaks, heels, sport coats, boots, button downs, skirts, t-shirts, casual, comfortable, cool - are all acceptable. Come as you are... we do.
What about my children?
AMP KIDS, the children's ministry at DFC, is designed uniquely for ages six weeks through twelve years old. While in AMP KIDS, your child will experience engaging in age-appropriate Bible lessons, music and activities all developed to point your child toward a daily relationship with Christ. AMP KIDS experiences are staffed by dedicated volunteers who will be there week after week to care for and love your child. AMP KIDS utilizes a sign in / out check-in system that ensures a safe environment for your child and also allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents.
Pastors 
Scott and Kristi Schatzline serve as Senior Pastors at Daystar Family Church in Northport, Alabama. They came to Daystar in the summer of 2004, after serving faithfully as worship pastors of Covenant Love Family Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Natives of Alabama, they returned to the church pastored by Pastor Scotts father, Bishop Pat Schatzline, to continue the work that God had begun in Northport. In their time at Daystar, God has moved mightily - healing the broken hearted, restoring the downcast and loosing the chains that have held Gods people in bondage for far too long. Pastor Scott has a unique style of ministry - confronting head on the works of darkness. God uses him to expose the enemy and bring healing and deliverance through a true revelation of the Love of God. Pastor Kristi also serves as Childrens Pastor of Daystar.
Pastors Scott and Kristi reside in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and have 4 beautiful children: Ethan, Noah, Isaiah, and Destiny

Worship Ministry 
We're excited about Daystar Worship! Our mission is to
reach and teach this generation in worship through music
and the arts so people experience God in fresh and dynamic
ways.
Amp 
AMP Kids Ministry exists to provide a Christ-centered
nurturing environment for the kids and guests of Daystar
Family Church. We offer fun and exciting Bible-based
programs that train, teach and equip in a non-threatening
environment with love and encouragement. We extend an opportunity for kids to build a personal relationship with Jesus and to be empowered by His Holy Spirit.
412 
412 is the youth ministry of Daystar Family Church.
We are a dynamic ministry that helps teenagers live
out the calling of God on their lives in a relevant and
practical way. 412 will inspire and prepare a young
person to live for God in a world that stands in violent
opposition to the gospel. 412 creates an environment
that enables teenagers to grow closer to God and prepare them to make great decisions in life.
UnAshamed 
UnAshamed is a dynamic student led ministry held on Thursday nights here at DFC. It is the college ministry of Whosoever Ministries / The Basement in Birmingham, AL.
Doors open at 6:30
